Who are we?
We are a team of professionals with 15 years of experience across the CG, film, and animation industries, combining the DEED Crew computer graphics school with DEED post-production studio.

How It's Done: Working as a 3D Modeler at a Major Animation Studio
A creative professional with extensive experience across advertising, television, animation, and film. Has built a strong portfolio through collaborations with major studios, including KHL, Da-Studio, Animaccord, and CGF.

In 2022, joined the award-winning Animal Logic studio in Australia. Following its acquisition, the role transitioned into Netflix Animation Studios (NAS), contributing to high-profile projects within the global streaming platform's creative ecosystem.

Also brings over three years of experience in training and onboarding specialists as an instructor in 3D modeling and digital sculpting.

An international visual effects expert who has built his career from the ground up, progressing from Effects Artist to Supervisor at leading studios such as Wētā FX and ILM (Disney).

Leveraging his unique cross-continental experience in Russia, New Zealand, and Australia, he founded DEED and the DEED Crew School to mentor aspiring talent entering the industry.

Beyond his professional work, Denis is passionate about social impact, dedicating time to support talented youth and kids in regional areas.

Levon Karapetyan
Creature TD / CFX Artist | Framestore (Sydney, Australia)
CFX: close-up, up-close
An expert in complex simulations, specializing in character realism: muscle and skin movement, fat tissue dynamics, and the simulation of clothing, hair, and fur. His work is what "brings to life" digital characters, transforming quality animation into exceptional realism.

During the session, Levon will present key projects from his portfolio, share his experience working under tight deadlines, and discuss strategies for professional growth. Particular attention will be given to the effective integration into the pipelines of major studios.

He is known for his technical leadership, creative problem-solving, and delivering high-quality visuals under demanding production schedules. Vikas has contributed to a wide array of blockbusters and acclaimed projects.

CFX Supervisor | Netflix Animation Studios (Sydney, Australia)
A CFX Supervisor specialized in Houdini that has been working on the Animation industry for over a decade working on some of the biggest VFX and Animation Studios in the world.

He has given master classes to students in the Bournemouth University, U-tad in Spain and the University of Technology Sydney as well as offering private mentoring on The CFX Academy.

Nowadays he works as a CFX Supervisor for Netflix Animation Studios working on Feature Animation Movies for the platform.

Kristina Russo
Senior Head of Department of the Assets|
Wētā FX (Wellington, New Zealand)
Kristina Russo has spent over 20 years bringing imagination to life through visual effects.
Starting as a 3D Generalist in Italy in 2006, then moving to London, Kristina joined Wētā FX in 2009, where she has loved being a part of the studio’s creative evolution.
Her journey began on The Adventures of Tintin and The Hobbit, and she went on to lead creative teams on projects like The BFG, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and Mortal Engines.

Kristina later headed Wētā’s Virtual Art Department for more than five years till 2022, and today she serves as Senior Head of Assets, guiding artistry and technology to create world-class digital environments and characters.
Kristina believes that VFX is about more than pixels—it’s about storytelling, creativity, and collaboration. She’s excited to see the fresh ideas and bold visions students will bring to this event, and hopes to inspire the next generation of artists to dream big and push boundaries.
